Gunson chaired the War Memorial Committee that was responsible for the decision to build a war memorial museum. The model is based on the architectural design of Auckland architects Grierson, Aimer \u0026 Draffin and was made before the building was completed.\nThis superb example of presentation silver was described in 1925 as \"the largest piece of silverwork done in the Dominion\".
